1. Twist the waist to the right and then, shifting into a front stance, twist back to the left, stretching out the left arm, palm open and facing up. The right fist remains clenched.
2. Shift the weight back onto the right leg and, twisting at the waist, draw back both hands palms open to just below the left ear.
3. Step back with the left foot into a front stance, pushing forward with the left hand and lowering the right hand to the right side.
4. Shift the weight back onto the left leg.
5. Twisting at the waist, draw the hands back to just below the right ear.
6. Step back with the right foot into a front stance, pushing forward with the right hand and lowering the left hand to the left side.
7. Shift the weight back onto the right leg.
8. Twisting at the waist, draw the hands back to just below the left ear.
9. Step back with the left foot into a front stance, pushing forward with the left hand and lowering the right hand to the side.
