1. Turn to face the left by pivoting on the left heel through 135°. At the same time reach around and out to the left with the left hand.
2. Sweep the right hand around in an arc until the inside of the hand touches the left palm, simultaneously shifting into a front stance by stepping slightly to the right with the right foot.
3. Lean the weight back on the right leg, forming both hands into fists as they are drawn in towards the body. The right fist is under the left elbow.
