(2) The Tai Chi Beginning Style 
3. Hands are down by the top of the thighs, with the palms parallel to the ground. 
Look at the left hand as you bring it up and across the chest in a semicircular shape. 
The left palm assumes a horizontal position. Your shoulders and left elbow should be relaxed. 

1. Look at the right hand as you bring it up and across the chest in a semicircular shape. 
The right palm assumes a vertical position. 
2. Rotate your front foot inward at the heel. Rest the sole of the foot on the ground. 
3. Lean forward, bend the front leg and straighten the back leg. 
 
(3) The Seven Stars Style 
1. Right hand reaches towards the left corner 
slightly above shoulder 
2. Lift the heel of the right foot so that just the toes rest on the ground. 
Turn right 90 degrees. 
3. Step up with the right foot so that the heel is on the ground and the toes are pointing up. Legs are shoulder-width apart. 
Fingers of the left hand touch the right wrist. Thumb of the right hand is at nose level. 
 
(4) Grasping The Bird's Tail 
1. Bend forward at the waist. The right palm faces toward the sky. 
Bring the hands down in front of the Dantian. 
2. Shift the weight into a forward stance and extend your right arm. Turn your waist, together with your arms, 45 degrees to the left. 
3. Turn your waist, together with your arms, to the right corner. The right arm remains extended. The right palm should be slightly higher than shoulder level and face towards the sky.
